I recently took my daughter’s car to Allyz Auto for an insurance claim assessment. The staff seemed nice and the shop was impressive at first. Unfortunately, during the assessment the shop did not follow protocol (waiting for the insurance assessor to come out) and overcharged for their services for an average claim (roughly double based on averages for companies I have worked for in the past). These charges included $5/picture (none needed) and a complete teardown of the car (also not needed as it was obvious it was a total loss) prior to an okay from my insurance firm. Insurance company deemed the car a total loss and the overcharging by Allyz created issues as now the payout was too great leading to the possibly of affecting my bottom line on reimbursement. When talking with Juan from Allyz regarding this concern, he said this was ‘normal’ and that if need be he had access to a lawyer to help me ‘fight’ this. He even sent me one case where my insurance supposedly didn’t pay out fair. Never, in roughly 25 insurance claims that I have dealt with over 25 or 30 years, have I ever had this overcharge occur or the idea of a lawyer getting involved to ‘solve’ it. Not only would Allyz not work with me or my insurance firm on rectifying the situation, but they refused to see any other views leading the insurance company and their customer (me) to want to break ties. Overall, a polite staff (1 star), but do not use as they are not honest (Juan will likely respond very differently) and create more issues that worth working with.

Hello again Mr. Casper, Thank you for taking the time to expose to all Progressive Insurance customers the inner workings of this popular insurance company. Our voice alone is not loud enough to expose the deceptive practices insurance companies have been using with their customers and shops for many years. All of this has been happening unchecked and unexposed for as long as I can remember. Now, thanks to the power of the internet, we can all share our collective experiences with the entire world without censorship. All our voices can be heard. I am happy to know that, after it was all said and done, the “issues that possibly might affect your bottom-line reimbursement’’ were never materialized, as I expected, and everything is proceeding as it always should have been. It is crucial to remember that your vehicle is solely your property and only you can give or deny authorization for it. An insurance company can strongly suggest or recommend any given set of actions but may never impose them. It’s even printed on every copy of paper they provide to you and us during the repair process. It is required of them to make that statement in their interaction with you. Happens to be that this line is hidden in the famous “fine print’ at the end of the stack of papers they provide, as usual. I want to address the “obvious total loss” comment you made there because I believe I can still provide you additional value by doing so. This vehicle was not an obvious total loss by far. It was only after we completed the process you hired us to do that, internal structural damage was discovered on your daughter’s vehicle. Had a thorough teardown and meticulous inspection not been performed by a lesser shop, and economical repairs had been done to it in order to keep costs down, your daughter would have been driving an unsafe car with a structurally compromised front end section, as this car was repairable by typical insurance standards with junkyard parts and “non invasive” repairs, turning a blind eye to the structural damages sustained by it. I understand it’s hard to comprehend how these 4000 pound machines absorb and distribute collision energy when we crash, but we understand this very well. To accurately measure and identify these factors, we need sophisticated machinery and software, specialized tools, and highly trained individuals with an unbreakable commitment to the safety and wellbeing of a stranger they have never met. These qualities are getting harder to find in technicians with each passing day. These things don’t cost what they did 25 or 30 years ago. To say we are overcharging for our services is akin to saying that the cost of living and doing business has not increased in 25 to 30 years. I am sure that, if anyone even dared to try and overcharge an insurance company, the army of lawyers and authorities that would descend on them would make the news. The same way they did not enforce the “possible issues with your payout” we wouldn’t be allowed to overcharge them for services because they are both illicit actions. There are measures in place to protect them from that, the same way there are measures in place to protect you from their “reduce your payout” threat. To help you understand this is precisely why I recommended you call the lawyer free of charge, because obviously we are not lawyers and cannot give legal advice, but he can. Here at Allyz Auto, we are committed to the customer. We chose not to serve the insurance masters and be champions for the people, even at the risk of bad reviews. We stand for the little gal and guy driving the average car on the road. Insurance corporations have enough lawyers and tacticians to stand for them. Thanks to our effort and honesty, there is one less unsafe car on the road that will not harm anybody else.

There’s not enough I can say about Juan and his staff. They’re beyond excellent at what they do and Juan goes above and beyond to help you in any way you need. I was having trouble with my insurance company and my declared total loss, they were jerking me around and Juan gave me great advice, worked with me and my insurance company every step of the way. He even held onto my belongings and bagged everything up so I could come and get them later. I highly recommend Allyz Auto for any service you need. Jessie and Juan were both great. Very polite and honest. You can tell they are hardworking business owners that take their job to heart. I will only use Allyz Auto/Color Recon for my Nissan Murano. Juan is truly an advocate for the customer. Jesse is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and Shayla is kind and treats the customers wonderfully. I was hit from behind on 7/1. I took my car to Juan and his team the same day and from day one he started coaching me on how to work with the insurance company to maximize my benefits and to ensure that I was getting the coverage that I was paying for. To say that the process with the insurance company was a nightmare is an understatement. Luckily I had Juan and Color Recon on my side! Color Recon did a full and thorough review of my car and the damage within 2 business days of my car getting there and that was over the 4th of July holiday. He talked me through speaking with insurance about the difference in the insurance and body shop estimates and told me exactly what to ask the insurance for. He was always available to answer my questions and explain the process to me. His guidance and assistance was invaluable to me. Fast forward three weeks and I picked up my car and you would never know it was in an accident. The repairs were done correctly to Nissan standards using OEM parts thanks to their research and time. The paint job was done to perfection and they matched the color perfectly. They delivered me back a car cleaner than I can ever get it even with the best detailer. I am so grateful for Juan and his team and will continue to use his business for any future needs.

Juan and the great people at Color Recon/Allyz Auto have once again done a fantastic job with my vehicle. This time I had them do a custom refinishing and install of side skirts and a front splitter on my 2020 Chevy Camaro 2SS. While the parts I purchased were aftermarket, Juan was able to make everything look like an OEM job right out of the factory. He was transparent with me from the beginning and offered me great advice/suggestions on how to do the best work without spending money unnecessarily. I am very happy to say I have a place that treats my car as well as I do, and I will be happy to use them for any and all body work I need done in the future. My car needed paint correction and ceramic coating. I did my research and went to Color Recon as my previous two cars have been painted by them. Robert and Juan gave me three levels of paint correction and let me choose the price I wanted to pay. My car is black with years of swirls, halos and “spider webs”. I also went with the latest coating technology called graphene. I am very happy with the results
