Dry Ice Cleaning FAQ & Answers!

With the advance of technology, innovations are bound to happen. One of them is dry ice cleaning (DRYCE) which is quite an interesting process and has countless benefits when compared to similar conventional methods. Let's stop with the explanations and answer a few questions which a lot of people are asking:

What Does Dry Ice Cleaning Mean and What Does It Do?

Answer:Dry ice cleaning is a process of cleaning the underside (and other polluted and dirty components) of a vehicle by using dry ice and compressed air.

This process involves a special machine that combines a few functions. One of them is a storage compartment for the dry ice pellets/particles. Another important function is the air compressor which shoots the dry ice through a hose into the part that is being cleaned.

Will Dry Ice Cleaning Damage My Car?

Answer:The short answer is no because keeping your vehicle damage-free is the whole purpose of the machine and procedure itself.

Because of the nature of dry ice, when it is blasted in the part that is being cleaned, it evaporates and eliminates the chance of damage to the part. The process also leaves no debris on the part, and the only result is a clean surface.

What is Dry Ice Made Out Of?

Answer:Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide(CO2).

Usually, carbon dioxide is a gas, but when it is brought to a low enough temperature, it solidifies. When it is blasted into the part, it goes from a solid to a gas instantly - skipping the part where it becomes a liquid and then a gas. This unique reaction makes the whole procedure harmless to the vehicle.

Is Dry Ice Cleaning Okay For The Environment?

Answer:Dry ice cleaning is harmless to the environment because of the product used in the process - dry ice (frozen CO2).

The environment is completely unharmed, with the obvious exclusion of the power being consumed by the machine, but the products used in the process are harmless. Simply put, it's just frozen CO2 blasted at a high speed.

My car needed paint correction and ceramic coating. I did my research and went to Color Recon as my previous two cars have been painted by them. Robert and Juan gave me three levels of paint correction and let me choose the price I wanted to pay. My car is black with years of swirls, halos and “spider webs”. I also went with the latest coating technology called graphene. I am very happy with the results
