Be Cautious When Auto Insurance Companies Recommend Certain Repair Shops

Auto Body Repair Shops Say Auto Insurance Companies Maybe Skimping On Accident Repairs

You were involved in an accident, you call the police, and then your insurance company. What happens next is probably going to affect you in so many ways that you may not realize. While on the call with your auto insurance company, they will suggest or recommend an auto body shop to take your vehicle to. Often and not, drivers involved in an accident use auto body repair shops recommended by their insurance companies. They trust them and they count on the quality of the car’s repair service. But those auto body shops may use cheap, imitation aftermarket or used junk parts. Those parts come in almost falling apart or not even fitting the car itself. Sometimes both. Insurance companies claim that their customer chose the shop when in reality, they did not or do not know that they can.

Inspect Your Vehicle After Repairs

It’s sad because when people come in to check on their car, they notice right away that something isn’t right. Yet, the auto body shop will assure them that it’s fine or try to make an excuse. The cars end up looking like they were ripped apart and stitched back together. The next time someone would drive their car, it’d be very difficult to avoid accidents.

Ensure Accident Repairs Follow These Steps:

  1. Find Certified Auto Body Repair Shops in your area.
  2. Pick a top repair shop that has great reviews that can repair your brand of vehicle and work hard to get your proper auto repair claim.
  3. Add their contact information to your phone.
  4. After an accident, call 911 and report the incidents.
  5. Call the Auto Body Repair shop and let them know what happened. They can help you submit a claim. Ensure that they negotiate well. You want to get the repairs you need in order to get your vehicle into its original condition.
  6. Get your vehicle towed to the shop.
  7. Get a quote for the repairs.
  8. Work with the auto body shop to assist you on making a claim to your insurance company.
  9. Call your auto insurance company.
  10. Let your auto insurance company know that you have a trusted body shop already.
  11. Get a quote approved by an insurance company.
  12. Go through the repair process.
  13. Inspect your vehicle and get a rundown of the repairs.
  14. Drive your vehicle and be mindful of any and all sounds, and performance.
  15. If the accident was not your fault you may be able to get your diminished value settlement. You only have 4 years to submit the request. Our recommendation is to seek help from a diminishing value expert.

What Our Clients Say

My car needed paint correction and ceramic coating. I did my research and went to Color Recon as my previous two cars have been painted by them. Robert and Juan gave me three levels of paint correction and let me choose the price I wanted to pay. My car is black with years of swirls, halos and “spider webs”. I also went with the latest coating technology called graphene. I am very happy with the results
